External organisations that can support you independently
Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN)
QDN is Queensland's peak organisation for people with disability. They provide peer support, systemic advocacy, and help people with disability have their voice heard on issues that matter to them.

NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission
The independent agency that regulates NDIS providers. They handle complaints about NDIS services, investigate concerns about provider quality and safety, and protect the rights of NDIS participants.

Office of the Public Guardian (OPG)
The OPG protects the rights and interests of adults with impaired decision-making capacity. They provide guardianship services and investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.

Queensland Human Rights Commission (QHRC)
The QHRC handles discrimination complaints under the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, including disability discrimination. They can investigate complaints against private service providers and help resolve disputes through conciliation.

Support from people with lived experience
DCA Mentoring Supports
DCA Mentoring Supports (DCAMS) is an NDIS support organisation founded and led by people with lived disability experience. They provide independent peer mentoring and support to help participants build capacity, develop skills, and connect with community.
Christine Court welcomes independent peer mentor visits to support our residents. This includes informal peer conversations, mentoring, and advocacy support separate from our services.
