House Rules for a Safe, Respectful Environment
These house rules ensure Christine Court remains a safe, comfortable home for all residents. They're based on our Queensland accreditation requirements and designed to protect everyone in our community.
Welcome to Christine Court Assisted Living
Our house rules are designed to ensure a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for all residents. Compliance with these rules is essential for the well-being of our community. If you have questions about any rule, we're happy to discuss during your tour.
1. Personal Conduct
- Residents are expected to behave in a manner that respects the rights and privacy of others.
- Harassment, discrimination, or any form of abuse is strictly prohibited.
2. Room Maintenance & Hygiene
- Residents must keep their rooms clean and hygienic.
- Regular inspections may be conducted to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
3. Zero Tolerance for Drugs & Alcohol
ZERO TOLERANCE- The possession, use, or distribution of illegal drugs and consumption of alcohol on the premises is strictly prohibited.
- The possession and use of drug paraphernalia is strictly prohibited.
- Violation may result in a breach, immediate eviction proceedings and/or potential legal action.
4. Fire Safety
IMPORTANT- Activities that could trigger fire alarms (burning candles, incense, or smoking inside rooms) are strictly prohibited.
- Residents may be held responsible for any associated fines imposed by QFES for false alarms.
Fire Alarm Activation Fine: If a resident's actions cause a fire alarm to be activated, a fine of $400 will be imposed to cover the costs associated with the fire response and any related disruptions. Residents may appeal this fine by submitting a written request to management within 14 days of the incident.
5. Room Searches for Illegal Substances
Management reserves the right to conduct ad-hoc room searches if there is reasonable suspicion of illegal substances on the premises, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.
6. Visitors & Guest Conduct
- Visitors must adhere to all house rules.
- Non-compliant visitors may be prohibited from future visits.
7. Noise & Quiet Hours
- Visiting hours are between 7am and 7pm daily.
- Outside of visiting hours are 'Quiet Hours'.
- Residents are asked to keep noise to a minimum, especially during quiet hours.
8. Pets
Pets are only permitted with prior approval from management.
9. Electrical Appliances
Only approved electrical appliances are allowed in rooms. Additional appliances may incur extra charges which will be added to your rooming agreement and regular rent payments.
10. Security & Room Access
- Residents are responsible for the security of their rooms.
- Management may require access to rooms for maintenance or safety reasons.
Acknowledgement
By residing at Christine Court Assisted Living, you agree to abide by these house rules. Non-compliance may result in eviction.
We understand that life isn't perfect. Our approach to house rules is fair and supportive—we'll work with you if challenges arise. These rules exist to protect our community, not to punish residents.
